Appellant Fidel Stewart was convicted by a jury of one count of robbery in the first degree, Â§ 569.020, RSMo (1978) and one count of kidnapping, Â§ 565.110, RSMo (1978). The circuit court of the city of St. Louis entered judgment on the jurys verdict and sentenced appellant to serve two concurrent fifteen year sentences. After affirmance in the court of appeals, this Court transferred the case to examine whether the trial court committed reversible error by overruling defendants challenge for cause of venirewoman Thompson during voir dire, thus forcing defendant to use a peremptory strike to remove her. Reversed and remanded.
